When the Dead Come Back to Life: A Dream of Hope, Faith, and Healing

Last night, I had a dream that left me in tears—but also reminded me of the power of faith and the presence of God in even our most broken places.

In the dream, I was walking home from work with colleagues, and alongside me was Mercy-pregnant colleague. At some point, our paths separated, and I found myself in an unfamiliar environment. It looked old, dusty, and worn—a place that mirrored deep poverty. There, I met a grieving woman holding a lifeless baby in her arms. The child’s face was bruised with red marks, and the woman wept hopelessly. Nearby, another woman held the other two children. It became clear—this was a mother of triplets, and she had just lost one.

What happened next was divine. I asked to hold the baby. I began to pray, speak life, and declare restoration over the child. Slowly, the baby began to breathe. The bruises faded. The child cried—and came back to life. The mother, overwhelmed with joy, held her baby once again. I told her, "Always pray. Believe. Have faith." And I made her repeat the words after me. Then I picked up a Bible placed on a small structure and walked away, hand-in-hand with someone very special—my late mother.

I sang: “Hold on to Jesus. Believe and pray.”

We passed through groups of religious gatherings—some Christians singing, others Muslim mourners. We chose not to walk through their circle, but to find another path. A woman showed us a shortcut through a broken fence. We followed it and rejoined the path ahead of the group.

Then I remembered: I don’t have a child of my own. I turned to ask my mother when it would be my turn to hold a baby—but she was gone. Still. Eyes closed. Her death was real again. I started crying—and that’s when I woke up, tears soaking my pillow. I switched on the lights and reached for the Bible I had slept with beside me. To my shock, it lay open to Ezekiel 37—the Valley of Dry Bones.

✝️ Dry Bones Shall Live Again

Ezekiel 37 is God's message to the prophet: Speak to the dry bones. Tell them to live. That was exactly what I did in the dream—I spoke life into something lifeless.

This dream wasn’t just about someone else’s miracle—it was a word for me.

  • It was a message about grief, revival, motherhood, and faith. A reminder that:
  • God still brings dead things to life. Whether it’s a dream, a womb, a heart, or a calling.
  • Our prayers carry power when we speak them in faith.
  • Our loved ones may be gone, but they are not truly lost. Their presence still walks with us in spiritual ways.
  • Even in poverty, pain, or confusion—God shows us another path.

πŸ•Š To Those Who Are Grieving or Waiting

Maybe you're like me. Grieving someone you love. Waiting for a child. Praying for something long-dead to breathe again. Let this dream remind you:

> 🌱 There is resurrection power in your prayers.

πŸ•― There is hope in your waiting.

πŸ“– There is life—even in dry bones.

Always Pray, Believe, and Have Faith (A Poem)

When shadows fall and hope feels far,

When life leaves yet another scar,

Lift your eyes beyond the skies—

There’s healing found in tearful cries.

When dreams seem buried, cold, and still,

Speak life with bold and quiet will.

Let prayer be breath, and faith your song—

The night may feel so dark, so long.

But dawn still comes to those who wait,

And hearts still bloom, though cracked by fate.

God hears your whisper, sees your pain,

And turns your loss to holy gain.

So when you're weak, don’t hide your face—

Just always pray, believe, have grace.

For what was lost can breathe anew,

And miracles may come through you.
